All our birds are categorized by personality type to find your perfect match.

  • These birds need some TLC to truly reach their full potential. This means they may need more skills and time than your average bird, but often the reward is worth the effort. Some of these will require previous experience with difficult birds, and some of them just need time and caution. Each bird will have specific needs to make sure they can be a part of your family, which their bios should reflect. Most fixer-uppers aren’t GREAT for a beginner, but some might be fine with the right kind of patience.

  • These birds are a bit shy at first, but quick to warm up and become your buddy. They may or may not decide to cuddle, but they’re great birds to have by your side through life. They tend to hang out on the sidelines and watch the world go by. Most wallflowers will tolerate handling and sometimes touching, but many just like to be active and play on their own. They may be described as independent or even aloof.

  • These birds are just as described! They love affection and hanging out with their favorite person. They are often drawn to multiple people and are great fun to have around anybody. Cuddlebugs may or may not want to actually snuggle, as that trait is quite rare, but with the right person they really enjoy getting scratches and being the center of attention. It’s important to note that a friendly bird does not always mean a kid-friendly bird, and their bio will reflect whether we know if they are safe around kids or not.

  • These birds are content to sit back and be wild birds. It’s a spectacular thing to see them interact with each other, without having to worry about giving them all your time. Some wildlings are really really picky and need a very specific environment before they can be handled, and some wildlings will never be comfortable being handled at all.
